MeDirect recently organised a Townhall meeting for all employees to provide an update on the Group’s performance and highlight some of the strategic plans being put in place for the months ahead. The event united employees from various locations across the entire Group, with participants converging in our offices in Malta, Belgium, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, and Turkey.
One of the key points of discussion during the Townhall was how Artificial Intelligence (AI) is set to impact the banking sector and how this technology can be implemented to improve internal processes and customer experience while also providing opportunities for career development. AI, based on well-developed datasets and excellent quality control, will lay the foundations for MeDirect’s next period of transformation.
Arnaud Denis, Chief Executive Officer of MeDirect Group, said, “2023 has so far been a positive year for our Group which has expanded its geographical reach with our launch in the Netherlands. There’s also been lots of new developments on the product front, particularly with the launch of card services and our online discretionary portfolio management service. Despite the challenges of an unpredictable world and interest rate volatility, we are meeting our targets and continue to grow both our customer and asset base.
“As a fundamentally tech driven company, we are always focussed on finding new ways to leverage technology to deliver more innovation and a better service to our customers. AI clearly offers a huge opportunity, and we are keen to give all our teams the opportunity to explore its potential and put forward ways in which this technology can help them”, he added.
The Townhall was followed by receptions at each of the Group’s locations giving employees the opportunity to further network and discuss the matters raised during the meeting in an informal setting.
