MeDirect Malta joined stakeholders from across the education and financial services sectors at the Together for Financial Wellbeing Conference, organised by the JA Malta Foundation. The conference discussed the levels of financial literacy and capability in Malta and what more can and should be done to help young people and the broader population take better financial decisions.
Ivan Gaffiero, Wealth Manager at MeDirect Malta, took part in one of the panel discussions which looked specifically at how financial education can be improved and ways in which banks and other financial institutions can support schools and educators.
Gaffiero said, “As Malta’s digital bank, MeDirect is well placed to provide unique insights into how young people engage with financial services through apps and online platforms. This initiative by JA Malta was a great first step towards building collaboration across multiple sectors and building more financially capable generations for the benefit of our economy and the community.”
