MeDirect has once again aided in sponsoring the 2018 edition of the Social Impact Awards, which were held on the 15th of November at The Xara Lodge. During the event, the six finalists pitched their innovative social projects to a panel of judges and an audience, clearly highlighting their projects’ sustainability, feasibility, and social impact.
In the end, the Growing Generations Together project, submitted by Ċentru Tbexbix, was not only awarded first place with €44,000, but also received the Audience Participation Award of €6,000. Second and third place were awarded to Step Up for Parkinson’s and Blooming Minds by Birdlife Malta (in partnership with Richmond Foundation) respectively, with Step Up for Parkinson’s receiving €24,000 and Birdlife Malta receiving €17,000. All three winning projects were also awarded pro bono mentoring and advisory services.
