A group of MeDirect employees recently gave up their time to help at the MSPCA Animal Sanctuary in Floriana. While at the sanctuary the employees took on a variety of tasks, such as cleaning the kennels as well as feeding and walking the dogs.
MeDirect and its employees regularly lend support to various animal sanctuaries including the MSPCA, which has been caring for dogs and cats for more than 120 years and has been operating its rehoming centre in Floriana since 1937.
The employees who attended all had a rewarding experience. Jordan Briffa said, “I have always wanted to volunteer with dogs because I love them. I really enjoyed the experience, especially knowing that some of the dogs have had a rough past and wanted the attention.”
Emma Zahra added, “I attended because I am a big dog lover and wanted to do my part in helping the sanctuary. It was a great experience even though heartbreaking. For sure, I would do it again since the dogs enjoyed it and that’s what matters.”
In conclusion, Damita Camilleri concluded, “I love to volunteer whenever I can. I love all animals especially dogs. I encourage more people to do it and support the MSPCA as it is so rewarding knowing that you made time for them and helped out.”
