MeDirect Malta employees have recently collected funds to support two of Malta’s leading charities. Puttinu Cares and Hospice Malta, who support cancer and terminally ill patients respectively, were the two organisations to benefit from this latest initiative.
Braden Galea, Manager – Financial & Taxation Reporting at MeDirect Malta, who presented the donation to Hospice Malta, said, “Each year, around World Cancer Day which is in early February, we organise a fundraising initiative to support organisations who contribute so much to helping those suffering from serious or terminal illness. We know that our contribution to Hospice Malta and Puttinu Cares will help those who really need it.”
Both Puttinu Cares and Hospice Malta support cancer patients in Malta and Gozo. The former is renowned for offering holistic care to children suffering with cancer, while the latter provides palliative care for persons undergoing cancer treatments, motor neuron disease and terminal respiratory, cardiac, renal and liver disease.
Owen Muscat, Team Lead – Software Development at MeDirect Malta, who presented the donation to Puttinu Cares, said, “Thousands of people, including MeDirect colleagues and their families, have benefited from the wonderful care and support provided by Hospice Malta and Puttinu Cares. It is only right that, as a community, we give back to these NGOs, helping them to continue their invaluable work.”
MeDirect would like to thank all the employees who contributed to this initiative. Donations to Putting Cares can be made here. Details on how to donate to Hospice Malta are available here.
