Staff from MeDirect Malta recently visited YMCA Malta to present a donation and also deliver blankets for residents to use this winter. This was the latest in a series of initiatives undertake by employees to support those in need.
YMCA Malta, which was set up in 1976, specialises in supporting those who have been affected by homelessness as well as providing a broader range of services for those who are socially disadvantaged. These services help affected individuals to develop their spiritual, intellectual, social and physical wellbeing.
Emma Camilleri -Chief People Officer at MeDirect, said, “Winter can bring additional challenges to those in society who are already experiencing challenging situations. At MeDirect we make a real effort to help the community in any way we can and employees are always encouraged to suggest ideas or create initiatives to support the causes they believe in. We’re glad that, today, this means we have been able to help those affected by homelessness.”
