MeDirect has always been proud to support and promote the music and performing arts scene. In line with this commitment, the Bank is the main benefactor of the Manoel Theatre. This weekend, MeDirect is giving its support to a new production of one of Shakespeare’s most famous tragedies – Macbeth.
The show is being produced by Unifaun Theatre Productions, and is partially funded by the Arts Council Malta. Clive Judd is directing this retelling of Macbeth, which features Maltese actors Mikhail Basmadjian and Chris Dingli amongst others.
While giving an interview, Judd explained that his interpretation of the play is a contemporary version. Aside from creating original music for the piece, “there will be some surprises for people who know the play well, as well as those approaching it for the first time.”
Macbeth will be staged at Teatru Manoel on 15, 16, 17 and 18 March 2019. We wish the cast and crew the best of luck with the production!
