MeDirect Bank Cup final 2019

On Saturday 27th April, the Kavallieri Rugby Football Club and the Stompers Rugby Football Club will battle it out in the MeDirect Bank Cup final. This will be the last match of the 2018/2019 season. The game will kick-off at 15:00 on pitch 1 at the Marsa Sports Complex.

 

The MeDirect Bank Cup consisted of three rounds:

Round 1

  • The Kavallieri RFC won against the Overseas RFC (25-17).
  • The Stompers RFC won against the Falcons RFC (43-41).

Round 2

  • The Stompers RFC won against the Kavallieri RFC (43-14).
  • The Falcons RFC won against the Overseas RFC (48-7).

Round 3

  • The Kavallieri RFC wins against the Falcons RFC (36-31).
  • The Stompers RFC wins against the Overseas RFC (20-0).

 

As the leaderboard currently stands, the Stompers RFC are in first place with three wins and a total of 15 points. the Kavallieri RFC are in second place with two wins and one loss, with a total score of 10 points. Following them are the Falcons RFC with 9 points and the Overseas RFC with 0 points.

We wish the Kavallieri RFC and the Stompers RFC the best of luck as they enter the final.

 

About the MeDirect Bank Cup
The MeDirect Bank Cup is a yearly rugby league in Malta that has been taking place for over five years. Supporting the Maltese community has always been a priority for MeDirect and will continue to be so in the coming years.

 

About the Kavallieri Rugby Football Club
The Kavallieri Rugby Football Club (Malta) was founded in 1991. At the time, rugby was still in its initial stages in Malta, making the Kavallieri RFC one of the pioneers of rugby on the island. The club has been a major protagonist in the local rugby scene, winning several national cups, including the renowned Ray Elliot Cup, and eight championship league titles.

 

About the Stompers Rugby Football Club
The Stompers Rugby Football Club (Malta) was established in 1996. The club has the highest number of players representing Malta in international fixtures in the national team squad. Furthermore, the Stompers RFC are the current winners of the MeDirect Bank Cup (2017/2018).
