This festive season, MeDirect is supporting the Beating Hearts Foundation, an independent non-profit foundation which supports the needs of parents of children born with a Congenital Heart Defect (CHD). In addition to providing information, advice and psychological support, Beating Hearts Foundation also offers practical help to all patients affected by a CHD who require surgery abroad.
Professor Victor Grech, a Paediatric Cardiologist and Trustee of Beating Hearts Foundation, said, “Providing the best possible medical treatment to children and adults with a CHD is vital but just one of the factors that go towards a full recovery. So, while we do focus on raising funds through initiatives like art exhibitions and the publication of books for equipment, training and to support those who need surgery abroad, we also make sure we do all we can to help both the patients and their families cope with the emotional toll of dealing with these conditions. We are always grateful to organisations like MeDirect who recognise the work we do and support us.”
Conway Wigg, Manager – PR & Communications at MeDirect Malta, said, “MeDirect is glad to support Beating Hearts Foundation, which does so much to help children affected by a Congenital Heart Defects and their families. Our contribution aims to aid these children, and their caregivers, on their path to recovery. We extend our heartfelt wishes to all the volunteers at Beating Hearts Foundation for a joyful festive season and a prosperous year ahead.”
