MBA Seminar on Blockchain

On Tuesday 24th July, the Malta Banker’s Association will be holding a seminar on ‘Blockchain: Innovative Technologies and Regulation’. The event will be held at the Amphitheatre, Le Méridien St. Julians Hotel & Spa, between 8am and 1:30pm. The individuals that will be speaking at the conference are Mr James Farrugia, Mr Patrick L Young, Dr Leonard Bonello, and Mr JP Fabri.

The seminar will include an overview by Dr Leonard Bonello & Mr James Farrugia (GANADO Advocates) of the three new Acts associated with Blockchain. These are the Malta Digital Innovation Act, the Innovative Technology Arrangements and Services Act, and the Virtual Financial Assets Act. The speakers will also outline the different types of service providers in the market, their business models and the types of risks which may be associated with specific service providers, together with the implications of the 5th MLD.
